Family run dairy farm that stock five different types acknowledge- and blue cheese based on pasteurized milk
from their own farm.
Tingvollost was established in 2003 on Saghaug farm in Tingvoll Nordmøre. The farm has a long crafts history
back to 1303 and today we have four generations together on consumption.
Cheesemaking takes place in a private dairy farm that was built in 2006. Next door to the cheese factory is
the barn built in 2009. From here fresh milk straight into the two vat of 700 liter capacity three days a week.
It is used only pasteurized milk from their own farm to cheesemaking. In the year 2014 we use about 200 000 liters
of milk for their cheese production. It takes 10 liters of milk to make 1 kg of cheese. Annual production is
thus of about 20,000 kg cheese. Besides supplying farm about 400 000 liters of milk to TINE's Jarlsberg
Production in the neighboring municipality.
Tingvollost its cheeses have won numerous awards, especially when it matured blue cheese Kraftkar who in
2011 won the gold medal at both the Land exhibition for Gardsost (NM), Nordic cheese festival in Denmark and
